Picnic in the Park: A Wonderful Way to Wrap Up Summer!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of summer together! This past Sunday, our annual Picnic in the Park brought more than 100 people from our Canyon Springs Church family together for an afternoon filled with great food, laughter, fellowship, and plenty of fun!

We enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs, fresh fruit and chips—and, of course, ice cream from Chubby’s Cones, the San Diego-based soft-serve ice cream truck that helped us beat the summer heat! And it wouldn’t be a Canyon Springs picnic without our cotton candy machine working overtime, keeping the kids happy with cones full of sugary goodness!

The kids had a blast bouncing in the jumpy, while lawn games gave everyone plenty of opportunities to play, laugh, and enjoy one another. There was something for everyone, and the afternoon was a beautiful reminder of how much we love simply being together as a church family.

We closed our time together by gathering around our students and praying over them as many have already returned to school, while others prepare to head back in the coming days. It was a meaningful way to celebrate the summer we’ve shared and prayerfully prepare our hearts for the new season ahead.

Picnic in the Park is truly one of our favorite Canyon Springs traditions, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out and made the afternoon so special. Thank you for bringing your families, joining in the fun, and helping us celebrate another great summer together!
