Celebrating God’s Faithfulness – Welcoming Our New Lead Pastor!
We are excited to announce that Philip Cross has been overwhelmingly affirmed by our voting congregation as the new Lead Pastor of Canyon Springs Church! After over a year of faithful prayer, discernment, and dedication, our Pastoral Search Team has completed its work. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to seeking God’s guidance throughout this important journey.

Pastor Philip officially begins his ministry with Canyon Springs on October 26, 2026!
Philip brings more than a decade of pastoral ministry experience, having served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, church planter, lead pastor, and most recently executive pastor. His journey through these various roles has shaped his heart for ministry, deepened his love for God’s Word, and strengthened his passion for helping others know and follow Jesus. Philip loves Scripture and is passionate about teaching it in ways that are meaningful, relatable, and applicable to everyday life. He has a special heart for those exploring faith, wrestling with questions, or seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. We look forward to the ways God will use Philip’s gifts, experience, and heart for people to lead, encourage, and strengthen our Canyon Springs church family in this next season.
Pastor Philip’s Family
Philip and his wife, Nicole, have been married for 15 years and have three children: Lauralee, Harmony, and Lewis. We look forward to welcoming their family into our Canyon Springs community!
What’s Next
On Sunday, November 1st, we will celebrate Philip’s arrival with a special Installation Service, bringing together our new Lead Pastor, congregation, and broader Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) family to prayerfully affirm our commitment to this new season of ministry together.
We are filled with gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout this transition and look forward with joy and anticipation to all He has planned for Canyon Springs Church!
