VBS 2026 Day 4 Recap

Day FOUR of VBS Illumination Station is in the books, and what a day it has been! We absolutely loved seeing our campers’ creativity shine during SUPER COLOR SPIRIT DAY. They showed up bright, bold, and ready to have fun!

Even with all the excitement, our mission has remained the same all week long:

Shining a light on who Jesus really is.

Before we dive into today’s VBS highlights, your kids may have come home excited about two of our favorite midweek programs that kick off this fall!

🎯 AWANA (Kindergarten-3rd Grade)

Wednesdays | 5:15-6:45 PM

This fun-filled evening helps kids build a strong foundation in God’s Word through games, Scripture memory, and engaging activities.

Special VBS Family Rate: Registration is normally $100 for the school year, but VBS families receive a discounted rate of just $60!

🎉 Club 45 (4th-5th Grade)

Mondays | 6:30-8:00 PM

Club 45 is all about fun, friendship, and faith. Kids enjoy games, skits, snacks, and meaningful time in small groups with leaders and peers.

🧱 Mexico Missions Fundraiser Update

We are THRILLED to announce that your children have raised over $1,000 for our friends in Mexico!

Today’s competition was intense. By the end of the day:

🩷 The girls added THREE stacks of bricks.
💙 The boys added FIVE stacks of bricks.

That means the boys have pulled ahead, but it remains a close race heading into our final day!

More than anything, we’re grateful to see our campers developing hearts for missions and generosity. They are learning that they can make a difference for others, and we couldn’t be prouder. We can’t wait to see how it all shakes out tomorrow!

🌟 A Day Full of Fun

Our campers were bursting with energy today as they rotated through all of their VBS stations!

🎨 Crafts

Today’s craft was an adorable empty tomb scene, perfectly tying into our Bible story. The creativity was incredible! If you see Ms. Kathleen, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Holly, or Ms. Sydney, be sure to thank them for all the hard work they put into creating such meaningful and fun crafts throughout the week.

🍭 Snacks & Recreation

Today’s GLOW-tastic snack was a huge hit! Our Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie treats were definitely a bright spot in the day.

Meanwhile, over at Rec, Ms. Hailey and Ms. Harper kept everyone moving and laughing with relays, Head-Shoulders-Knees-Lights, and plenty of friendly competition.

🎶 Music

Music was an absolute BLAST today!

Our campers loved learning the song “Forgiveness in You” and practicing all the dance moves. Tomorrow, Ms. Audrey and Ms. Natalie will be reviewing all five VBS songs and dances from the week – PLUS introducing a highly anticipated bonus song that the campers have been asking for!

📖 Today’s Bible Story: Jesus Is the Proven Son of God

Today’s lesson came from Mark 14:43-16:7 and focused on the powerful truth that Jesus is the proven Son of God.

After praying in the garden, Jesus was betrayed by Judas and arrested by soldiers. His frightened friends ran away and hid. Religious leaders put Jesus on trial and sentenced Him to die on a cross. After Jesus died, a kind man named Joseph placed His body in a tomb and a huge stone was rolled in front of the entrance.

But early Sunday morning, some women came to the tomb and discovered something amazing – the stone had been moved! An angel told them the incredible news: Jesus was alive!

The resurrection proved that Jesus is exactly who He said He is – the Son of God.
