VBS 2026 Day 5 Recap

What. A. Week.

After five incredible days of worship, laughter, games, crafts, friendships, music, missions, and learning about Jesus, our Illumination Station adventure has officially come to an end- and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

More than anything, we spent this week focused on one mission:

Shining a light on who Jesus really is.

Throughout the week, our Light Bearers discovered that Jesus is God’s Promised Son, God’s Perfect Son, the Powerful Son of God, the Proven Son of God, and the Risen Son of God. Through Bible stories, music, crafts, recreation, and small group conversations, kids learned that Jesus is the Light of the World and that they can shine His light wherever they go.

So Much Fun Along the Way!

From Neon Day and Super Color Spirit Day to relay races, glow-themed snacks, incredible crafts, hilarious skits with Professor Luma and Hudson, and nonstop worship music, every day was packed with excitement. Our campers brought amazing energy all week long, and our incredible team of adult and youth volunteers made every moment special.

We are so thankful for every leader, parent, and camper who helped make this week unforgettable.

The fun isn’t quite over yet!

We would love to see all of our campers, families, and leaders back at Canyon Springs this Sunday for our special VBS Sunday Celebration.

🕘 Service Time: 9:30 AM

We’ll spend the morning celebrating everything God did during Illumination Station as we watch our official VBS highlight video, sing some of our favorite VBS songs, reconnect with friends and leaders, and hear stories of how God worked throughout the week.

Our Light Bearers Shined Through Generosity

One of the most exciting parts of the week was our friendly Boys vs. Girls competition to raise money for our friends at Vision de Dios in Tijuana, Mexico.

We are thrilled to announce that our campers raised an incredible $1,850 to help provide flooring and improvements for families and children at Vision de Dios!

And after a week of fierce competition…

🏆 THE BOYS ARE OUR 2026 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

While the boys ultimately took home bragging rights, the real victory is the incredible generosity shown by every child who gave, served, worked, sold lemonade, completed chores, and sacrificed to help others. We could not be more proud of our Light Bearers for demonstrating compassion, kindness, and a heart for missions.

Your generosity will make a real difference in the lives of children and families in Mexico.

Chubby’s Cones Was the Perfect Ending 🍦

After our final day together, many families stuck around to enjoy some delicious treats from Chubby’s Cones. It was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing week together- sharing ice cream, taking pictures, giving hugs, and soaking in those final VBS memories.
