Churches Against Trafficking
February 2017 Meeting
Thursday, 2/16 @ 6:30 pm
Mission Church of the Nazarene (click for address/map)
February’s meeting will focus on protecting the most vulnerable victims in our county: the children. As many as 1/3 of the victims rescued from sex trafficking, have spent time as foster children. We are honored to have two expert speakers, Charisma De Los Reyes, from San Diego Child Welfare Services, and Amanda Stephens, from County Foster & Adoptive Resource Family Services, who will educate us on the important issues around vulnerable children, and how we as the Church can be their advocates. We’ll discuss the need for healthy homes that protect children and their futures, as well get resources to help educate our congregations on adopting and fostering children. Do you know of anyone considering foster care? Invite them! Learn the steps to becoming a foster parent so you can share it with others. We need more foster families, and who better to ask… than YOU?
