We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your family. This time between Thanksgiving and Christmas always seems to fly by. However, we have a lot of great things happening in these few short week. We know this can be a busy time for families, and we encourage you to press in to what God is up to in our youth group this winter season!  

A Very Merry OASIS Christmas Party! December 13th!

Merry Christmas OASIS! Are you ready to celebrate with all of your friends and leaders? Come and join us for our last event of the year. We will be having a gift exchange, games, cookie decorating, and of course hot chocolate. Grab a friend and kick off the Christmas season with us!

When: December 7th 7:30-9:00

Where: Canyon Springs Church

Bring: A gift 10 dollars or less for gift exchange. No GAG gifts. Gifts you would want yourself. 

Attire: Christmas Sweaters

Every year we take our high school students to Brianhead, Utah for a great trip with skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and hiking!! With relevant messages, awesome worship, and fun games, this is a great high school camp that is designed for a weekend to experience God.

Don’t know how to snowboard or ski? That’s okay! We have some talented leaders that would love to teach you. Don’t want to learn how to snowboard or ski? No worries, the first day you can tube or go bowling and the second day we are going to hike in Zion National Park!

New Sermon Series: Keep Your Streak (The Importance of Reading The Word Daily)

Keep Your Streak is a creative 5-week series about the importance of consistency. Students love to keep their Snapchat streak going for 100. 300, even 500 days. But what if we treated reading our Bibles the same way? God’s word is better than social media streaks. It says that it’s like food, spiritual food for our souls! Not only will Pastor Sekwohn talk about the importance of reading our Bibles daily, but he will also teach us HOW. If your student has ever asked the question “But HOW do I read the Bible?” or said, “The Bible is just so confusing” this sermon series is for them!

OASIS Parent Volunteers Needed

We are looking for parents who would love to be involved in OASIS this year. If you have been looking for a ways to be more involved in OASIS but can’t make the full commitment to be a small group leader we have some great opprotunities for you and the commitment time is only on Wednesdays from 7:15-7:45. Some of the volunteer opportunities include: 

Safety Team: We need a team of parents willing to walk around the building and ensure student safety at all times 

Parking: We would need someone to ensure students safety as they enter and exit the building. 

Snack Bar: We would love to utilize the amazing cafe we have access to in our new space by having a full functional snack bar.
