The Journey House is a transitional (18-month) supportive home for up to six female tenants. Residents graduate from the San Diego Rescue Mission’s Academy 12-month program.
Community involvement is significant. Residents are encouraged to attend a local church and participate in activities/events within their neighborhood. This home is located in the Chollas View Neighborhood.
The ability to harvest spiritual gifts found in the church is vital to the success of every resident. The church is invited to help residents develop biblical “life skills” through creative and fun in-house workshops and activities. The Journey House is not a classroom; volunteers are encouraged to share their talents, skills, and spiritual gifts.
