We crossed the finish line! Our VBS Gaming session is complete – and we finished strong!! What an amazing week! Our gamers were so great at staying focused on our key job for the week (which of course was to have fun) but also to learn that following Jesus changes the game!

  

We finished the week strong with some really fun activities in our various events:

  • CRAFT–The gamers made some very special memories and designed an awesome picture frame with a picture of their group! All our campers loved the opportunity to decorate a frame and take home the picture as a keepsake!
  • REC–It was one big fun time with wet sponges and water balloons! And, boy, was it ever slippery! 
  • MUSIC–We got to review ALL the fun songs that we’ve done this week. Then, all the kids circled up and got to share individually what their favorite part of VBS is. It’s great to hear how different parts of VBS resonate with different kids. 
  • STORY–Our story today was about how Peter told Cornelius about Jesus. Cornelius was a Roman officer who worshiped God. One afternoon an angel of God appeared in a vision and told Cornelius to send men to Joppa and find a man named Peter. Cornelius obeyed. Meanwhile, Peter had a vision. The vision was about unclean animals. A voice told Peter not to call something unclean if God had made it clean. Peter was trying to understand the vision when the men looking for him arrived. The Holy Spirit told Peter to go with the men. Cornelius, his family, and friends were waiting to hear Peter’s message. Peter said, “God has shown me that He does not show favoritism. Every person can be right or acceptable to God through faith in Him.” Peter taught that everyone who believes in Jesus will have their sins forgiven. Everyone who heard the message became believers.

VBS Sunday is TOMORROW, June 25th!

Don’t forget VBS Sunday at 9:30am! Have your kiddos wear their colored shirts to have more fun with their fellow campers. We’ll watch the full recap video, do fun VBS crafts, hang with other campers, and enjoy donuts and bounce houses directly following service!

We meet in the teacher’s lounge adjacent to the courtyard at 10:40 am, right after our service. You’ll get to mingle with others for 10-15min, and then hear from our staff for the remainder of our time together to learn more about and what’s important to us.
