VBS 2022 - Day 4 Recap - Canyon Springs Church

Well, we completed day FOUR of our VBS experience and have enjoyed watching all our campers’ creativity! We have stayed focused on our mission and have learned that we were CREATED, DESIGNED, and EMPOWERED by God!

AWANA & Club 45 – Super Early Bird DISCOUNTS!

Before we get into all our VBS fun for the day… your kids may have come home telling you about our awesome mid-week programs that will start in the Fall. AWANA is for our kindergarten-3rd graders. It meets on Monday nights from 5:15-6:45 pm. The registration is typically $80 for the year but we are offering a significant discount for our VBS campers. Sign up now for just $55. We are THRILLED to announce that your children helped raise almost $500 for our friends in Mexico today!! At the end of the day, the girls got FOUR pancake stacks BUT the boys JUST BARELY pulled ahead and got FIVE stacks of pancakes.

Our campers were FULL of energy today. They worked hard and had a whole LOT of fun at rotations. During craft our creatives made crosses on canvas. We loved watching how unique each of their creations were. Rec was so much fun. Those kids laugh the entire time they spend with Mr. John and our awesome crew of High School Rec leaders. The relay races, water games, and friendly competition have our campers in all smiles!

Music was a BLAST. Kids could not be more thrilled to do our “YES TO VBS” song. It’s a fan favorite and they NEVER get sick of it. We also learned our final song “How Marvelous You Are.” Tomorrow we will spend the rest of the day reviewing all 5 dances. Have your kids continue to listen to the songs and memorize those words. During story time, our campers learned that Jesus fulfilled God’s plan to save us. We heard about how Jesus died on a cross and was buried in a tomb. Early on the first day of the week, women came to the tomb, but the tomb was empty! The women hurried and told the disciples. Later that day, the disciples were gathered in a room with the door locked. Suddenly Jesus appeared in the room. The disciples were afraid, but Jesus showed them that He was real.

Chick-Fil-A Celebration!

We are in the HOME STRETCH and I can hardly believe we only have one day left together on our creative adventure. As a reminder, pick up time tomorrow is still at noon. Directly following camp, we will have an end of VBS celebration with Chick-Fil-A, chips, cookies, and water that you may attend with your child. We will also have bounce houses for kids to play on. We would love to have you join us. There is a suggested donation of $5-10 per family. This event is for families and a parent chaperone is required.

Pancake Breakfast @ VBS Sunday 6/26/22

Sunday, June 26th is VBS Sunday at Canyon Springs! What a better way to celebrate than with real pancakes! We will be having a pancake breakfast after service to celebrate all the money that our kids have raised to support our friends in Mexico for the Breakfast and Bible Stories program. And we will watch the wrap up VBS video. Service time 9:30 am at Marshall Middle School – Learn more HERE. Have your child wear their VBS t-shirt and participate with their friends and leaders from Spark Studio!

Volunteers Needed! With that said, we need some help putting the pancake breakfast together ranging from setting up tables & chairs to flipping pancakes on the griddle. Please stay tuned for a special email coming soon!
