What an amazing week the team had in Alaska. This team was full of people who loved to laugh and loved to serve. We were able to help out doing odd jobs for Frontline Missions in Palmer, Alaska. Frontline is a food pantry and a service provider for people in need. We were able to tackle their to-do list/wish list so that they could be freed up to do the important work of caring for people in their community.
We also partnered with Real Life Church in Palmer. We ran a Super Hero Bootcamp/Carnival as an outreach event for their community. There were 3 families that came to that outreach event that wanted more information about the church.
We also ran Super Hero VBS at the church. We had 36 kids in attendance and on our last day with them were able to give these kids lunch and take them to a reindeer farm. It was “Super” Fun! We also gave them a chance to receive the greatest Super Hero of all, Jesus! 18 kids made decisions for Jesus Christ.
Our teens on the team, who were AMAZING, made friends with several teens from the church and community and enjoyed bowling with them and going on a night hike (since the sun doesn’t go down until after midnight)!
The team also had the privilege of being able to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation in Alaska with a visit to a glacier, wild life preserve, and a tram ride.
Thanks Canyon Springs for your prayers and your support!!
